8/16/07: Final grades have been submitted to the Registrar's Office; they are also posted on SAS gradebook. I will post grades
for the final exam and final paper on SAS tomorrow.
8/13/07: Here is the
study guide (MS Word document)
Remember, our review is tomorrow only; there is no review on Wednesday.
8/10/07: Grades for the second paper are posted in SAS gradebook.
8/8/07: Make-up exams will be this Friday, August 10th, at 11 am.
This is the only exam make-up session.
In reference to tomorrow's class,
here is some
examples of the biological motion display.
We will be covering all of Language on Monday, so that we can spend most of Tuesday on review.
Final Assignments
Start thinking about any questions you may have for the review on Tuesday.
Remember the third papers are due on
Tuesday at 10:15, not Wednesday.
Write-ups for extra credit are due at the start of class on Wednesday; see
here for an explanation of what is needed in the write-up. I will not accept late extra-credit.
8/6/07: Grades for the first two exams and the first paper are now posted on
SAS gradebook. Let me know if you find
any mistakes.
As mentioned in class, I will post abridged outlines for classes the evening before. As with the slides,
the outline will be on the website by 11 pm,
here.
I will have an extra office hours this Thursday, August 9th, from 1 pm to 2:30 pm. I am also available for appointments.
Also as mentioned in class, there are some new experiments for extra credit, for a total of 8 regular
& choose-one short. You can find brief descriptions and e-mail contacts on
here. Remember: if you neither show up for
nor cancel an appointment, you will have one percentage point deducted from your final grade.
7/25/07: Unless I change this message tomorrow morning, we
will have class. There are no
slides for tomorrow's class.
7/17/07: Tomorrow is our first exam. We will have a review before the exam, if there is interest.
Email me a question by 6 pm tonight to have it answered tomorrow; I will not answer questions about
the format or content of the exam in the review.
The exam will start at 11 am or after the review,
whichever comes first. Regardless of when the
exam starts, I will collect exams after 65 minutes;
latecomers will not be given extra time.
7/16/07: I have added a list of the experiments available for extra credit to the
Grading page. I will update it as more experiments become available.
Papers may now be e-mailed the day they are due. They are due in my box by
9:30 a.m. the day they are due, or they will be
marked late as explained
here
Here is an explanation of a Mercator map.
7/10/07: Here are the websites I tried to show in class today. They show visual illusions that
are due to change in the visual field.
Window-shade or rocking-disk
illusion
Induced contrast asynchrony. (The title
should be clearer after you take a look at the illusion.)
